Editorial Policy of the Scientific Journal "Defense and Science"

 

1.General provisions

 

A. The International Scientific Journal “Defense and Science” is: a peer-reviewed and refereed scientific journal published annually in English;

B. The journal includes theoretical and practical scientific works in such areas as social, humanitarian, exact and natural sciences, defense and security directions, etc.

C. The journal is an open access publication, which means that its content is fully accessible to users without any additional payment or registration.Users have the right to access, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or make use of the text of the works or use the journal and the works published therein for any other lawful purpose without the prior consent of the publisher or authors in accordance with the Creative Commons license terms defined in the editorial policy (see Copyright).

2. Types of papers to be published in the journal 

A. The following types of papers may be published in the international scientific journal "Defense and Science":

✓ Academic paper/scientific article; 

3. Direct submission rules for paper selection

• The author must send the paper via e-mail to defenseandscience@eta.edu.ge. The paper must be accompanied by:title, author(s)'s name, surname, position held, scientific degree, abstract, keywords that ensure classification of articles by topic;
• The author must provide the editorial office with the author's open identifier: Orcid-16-digit unique code;

• The author must ensure that the editorial office receives a completed, technically and linguistically sound text;

• The Editorial Board will not consider publishing a paper that is not formatted according to the journal's requirements. 

 

4. Paper selection procedure A. In the absence of plagiarism, the papers are selected by the Editor-in-Chief and then submitted to the Editorial Board for final approval;B. The paper is selected by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board through a double blind review process. 

5. Decision on the publication of papersa. Authors of selected papers will be notified of the board's decision via e-mail defenseandscience@eta.edu.ge 

6. Article Content Standardsa. The paper should aim to expand on an existing issue in the field or to initiate a new issue, and should contain solid arguments and substantiated opinions;b. The research methodology should be fully adhered to in the paper. 

7. Cost of publishing articlesAuthors of articles in the journal “Defense and Science” are not required to pay any fees for publication.All costs related to the review and editing of the text are borne by LEPL-David Agmashenebeli Georgian National Defense Academy. 

8. Archive Policy To ensure the preservation and accessibility of all articles published in the journal, articles are stored on the multidisciplinary publishing platform Openjournals.ge. In addition, authors are encouraged to archive the final PDF version of their article in open electronic archives.

 

The editor ensures digital storage of the journal's content on the website of the Library of the Georgian National Defence Academy named after David Agmashenebeli, library.eta.edu.ge.
