Open Access Policy

The Journal of Defense and Science is an open access journal, which means that the content of all articles is freely available upon publication, both to readers and to the institution.Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and search the full texts of articles in this journal without seeking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in line with the definition of Open Access (BOAI). 

Copyright

Non-property copyright in the work remains with the author of the work;The works in the journal will be published under the Creative Commons[1] license, namely the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which means the right to use it for any purpose, with the obligation to indicate the source; This license grants the right to further use it with the indication of the author and the original publisher;

Under the CC BY license, anyone has the right to share, distribute, adapt the magazine or any part of it,including for commercial purposes, in which case he is obliged to fully indicate the source and the relevant electronic address (link) and, in the event of any changes, to present these changes. 

The CC BY license does not imply the transfer of the author's non-copyrights to the journal. 

The author retains copyright to the text and reserves the right of first publication to the journal.

 Self-archiving: 

To ensure the preservation and accessibility of all articles published in the journal, the articles are stored on the multidisciplinary publishing platform Openjournals.ge.In addition, authors themselves are encouraged to archive the final PDF version of their article in open electronic archives, provided that source information (journal title, year, issue, and web address) is provided. 

Archiving: 

• The papers published in the journal are stored in the fund of the National Digital Library of the Parliament of Georgia “Iverieli”;

• To ensure the preservation and accessibility of all articles published in the journal, the articles are stored on the open access multidisciplinary publishing platform Openjournals.ge;

• The Editor-in-Chief ensures digital storage of the journal's content on the website of the Library of the Georgian National Defence Academy named after David Agmashenebeli LEPL https://library.eta.edu.ge/#/home.
